Exotic

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'E', and I chose to create an Exotic manicure. I used two gorgeous and hot nail polishes and combined them into a gradient, then used acrylic paint to freehand some hibiscus flowers.

I started with a base coat and then applied two coats of Golden Rose Holiday #78. This is definitely the must-have of the summer. It's a hot orange textured nail polish, but also has some fine silver shimmer in it. It looks gorgeous on tanned skin, it applies wonderfully and dries really fast. Once that dried, I used a makeup sponge and dabbed the hot pink China Glaze 'Love's A Beach' on the tips of my nails. Then I just started free-handing some hibiscus flowers with black acrylic paint. To seal the design, I used Seche Vite and, even though the finish was textured at first, the top coat made it a little bit smoother and more even. I wore this manicure for a whole week about a month ago (if you're wondering why my nails look long again ^_^). I got tons of compliments and everyone doubted that I actually painted the flowers, arguing that they were decals. I actually had to make them look up-close and show them that there were no two identical flowers. I kinda hate it when that happens, but it also means that the design is perfect, right ? :p

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

Please stop by the other girls to see their manicures for this theme !

The kiss of spring

Hello !
I created this article just to show you how I'll be starting my week. I just did my manicure and pedicure and I am so proud of how they turned out.

I used the gorgeous Rimmel London Space Dust for most of the look, which is a textured nail polish. It's a beautiful sparkly nude that is perfectly opaque in two coats and dries in no time. It's absolutely amazing, and another good thing about it is that it costed me only 10,99 RON from DM. For the manicure, I created two accent nails by using Golden Rose Rich Color #05, another gorgeous nude nail polish that I used so many times just because I am in love with it ! Once that dried, I applied some water decals with delicate pink and purple roses. I applied top coat on the accent nails and I left the other nails just how I like them: textured ! ^_^

I hope you like this look as much as I do. I think it's perfect for spring and totally wearable on a daily basis.

Oh, and by the way... If you've noticed that I cut my nails, it's because they kept exfoliating and turning really ugly. Besides, for the last month I've turned into a 'girl that lifts'. That's right ! :D I'm going to the gym 3-4 times a week to get in shape, so long nails were not coping with that much iron. ^_^ Anyway, my obsession with longer nails just ended after finishing this manicure. I think short nails look way cuter. Wouldn't you agree ?...
Kisses !

Denim

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'D', and I chose to create a Denim manicure. I used both nail polish and acrylic paints to achieve this look, as well as a stamping plate and some round gold studs.

I started with a base coat and then applied one coat of a blue nail polish on all of the nails. Once that dried, I started applying different shades of blue acrylic paint with a fan brush to create the denim effect. On the accent nails, I used a beige nail polish to stamp an intricate design that looks like the sewing on the back pocket of blue jeans, then I used the same beige nail polish and some white acrylic paint to create the stitching of the pockets. Finally, I applied the matte top coat from Golden Rose and put two golden studs in the upper corner of each pocket.

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

Chains

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'C', and I chose to create a Chains manicure. This look was really easy to achieve: I only needed a gorgeous nail polish and some golden chains decals.

I applied a base coat on all of my nails and then two coats of the gorgeous Kiko #533 Pearly Golden Green. Once that dried, I simply took the golden chains decals I received as a gift and applied them vertically on three of my nails, then sealed them with my Seche Vite top coat. Such a manicure is very easy to achieve and still looks eye-catching.

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

Pastel roses

Hello, dear readers !

I've been busy this weekend... again ! ^_^ I did a pastel manicure on one of my colleagues, July. I used some spring pastel colors: Essie 'A Crewed Interest' - gorgeous peach, Color Club 'He Loves Me' - loveliest pink, Rimmel London 60 Seconds 'How Do You Lilac It?' - wonderful lilac and Kiko 'Mint' - brightest green.

I basically played with the colors a bit and drew the roses on the peachy base color, using the lilac and the pink from the other nails. Lastly, I applied some colorful studs from Born Pretty Store on the plain nails and sealed the design with Seche Vite top coat.

I hope you like this manicure... ^_^ Please leave your comments below ! I would love to read them, as always.

Kisses !

Bridal

Hello, everybody !

Today's theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'B', and I chose to create a Bridal manicure. Although some might argue that a bridal French manicure is out-of-date, I wanted to add more detail to it and created a delicate filigree-like design with the help of a stamping plate I recently received from Born Pretty Store.

I painted the tips of the nails with two coats of white. The lines I created weren't neat, but I made them perfect with the help of a flat round brush dipped in nail polish remover. I then applied the French Cover Pastel Pink from Cupio, which is a milky sheer pink nail polish. Once that dried, I stamped the filigree-like design with white nail polish and sealed the manicure with my Seche Vite top coat.

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design. Thank you for your time ! ^_^

Into the blue

Hello, there ! ^_^
I was a little bit busy this weekend, as my friend Diana stopped by my house to get her nails done. It was pretty easy, because she didn't have any idea on what she wanted, I only knew that I had to use her favorite color - turquoise.

I first applied a base coat and then used Kiko #521 Pearly Ocean as the base color, a gorgeous shimmery electric turquoise which looks amazing ! Once that dried, I created some swirls using two different greens: Kiko #526 Mint and Kiko #533 Pearly Golden Green. These nail polishes are incredibly beautiful and easy to work with. I decorated each nail with two light blue flowers (using a no-name nail polish) and I created some really tiny white dots in the center of each flower with acrylic paint. Of course I had to seal the design with Seche Vite Top Coat to smooth everything out and to make the manicure last longer.

Please let me know what you think in the comments below.
Oh and... by the way: Diana isn't really posing in these pics. ^_^ I just took them while she was desperate to post the final result of our nail art session on Facebook. ;)
Bye !!!

Antique

Good morning, everybody !

I was very sad when the previous nail art collaboration ended, but the girls and I decided we couldn't leave things as they were. We all enjoyed so much being part of a group of really talented girls that had a purpose, an idea and the resources to create incredibly beautiful manicures !
Therefore, it's time for fresh new beginnings, so prepare yourselves for a new and intriguing collaboration - the "Alphabet nail art challenge". I will post every Saturday and each manicure will have a different title, depending on the letter of the respective week.

Today's first theme in the "Alphabet nail art challenge" is the letter 'A', and I chose to create an Antique manicure using this cool decoration from Born Pretty Store - a golden vintage 3D 'fleur-de-lis' piece.
I started off with a base coat, then painted the accent-nail with black polish and glued the 3D piece in the center of the nail. I painted the other nails gold, but because the shade of gold I have didn't quite match the color of the 3D piece, I applied a golden glitter on top, which made a huge difference. Once that dried, I created a distressed look by taking the black polish again, wiping most of it on the neck of the bottle and applying it on the nails, using very short strokes - even a kid could do it ! I learned this technique from Chalkboard Nails and it was my first time doing it, but I really love the result ! ^_^ Needless to say that the top coat made it look all glossy and perfect.

So... now onto your opinions ! Do you like the theme, the idea, the result, the pictures ?... I'd love to see what you think about this design.
Thank you for your time ! ^_^
